I walked up again with the old house trousers on, looking like I'd just got out of bed (not far off) and took a few pictures. We think this may be a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk, at first we thought it may be an Osprey, but the patterning and form is not right. The next picture in flight shows good wing and wingtip definite.
Exciting stuff as we approach spring.
