Who are You?

Last night this chap flew into our tree outside our window so we managed to get a good look. Karen has her handy book about our birds and established that it was a Barred Owl. He was looking at us as we opened the window, stayed in the tree for a minute or so. I would estimate the height to be about 50cm or more, so a big guy.
