The Lodge at Glacier Creek was about 600 metres downhill from the ski lift, the powder on top of a 300cm base was about 30cm or more but fortunately, our experience in 2003 made us bring our boots, the walk down was strenuous, a couple of beer and an hour rest and then, that 600 metres felt like a mile on the way back, again, fortunately climbing hills is a daily thing in Gibsons.
Funny thing was, a lot of people turned back at the 200 metre mark as the lodge was obscured by those trees on the right.
