Three Months

The cut the cord experiment is three months and counting. The photo below is the 8 bay antenna that we installed on the side of the house and our location provides half a dozen digital TV channels via an ATSC tuner. In addition we have a streaming and PVR setup that involves two dedicated (and quiet) PCs with a Roku and a 3rd Generation Apple TV box.

In Canada, most networks provide online access to full shows the day after they are broadcast, in addition, we have subscribed to a digital VPN which provides worldwide on-demand access to shows from global networks.

So much telly, so little time!

Lunch impending

We're smiling because we know the Black Bean cafe is only ten minutes away. Today it was a delicate homemade curry lentil soup with doorsteps of fresh bread.

Shoreline

Walking almost parallel to Marine Drive we found the sea cooperated and gave us a narrow walk down the shoreline. We've tried this before but were thwarted by the Pacific, today however, conditions for passage were just right.

Grantham's Landing and back.

Today the weather is continuing, and actually improving, we walked "Reed Road Right" down to Grantham's Landing and then decided to walk along the shoreline into Gibsons.

Love is in the Air

The world is a buzz with birds absolutely everywhere, here in the tree at the top of Mountain View are a pair of what we believe to be purple finches, they're nest building and I was lucky to grab this great photo.

Tufty Club

At the end of our walk, someone was very verbal about us getting too close to his personal beachfront property.
