Starfish on steroids

A sunflower starfish with fifteen "legs" in Lund harbour, he wasn't alone either. The starfish was approximately twenty inches across, probably safe from the hungry seagulls...

Nice Buns

The science experiments continue, same bread recipe as before but divided into eight lumps, we tried various "finishes" namely, nothing, water, milk and olive oil and it appears that it makes little difference to the end product. Cooking time was slightly less at around the 20 minute mark.

HummingBirds

We arrived at the ferry terminal area and wondered what the buzzing noise was, it turned out that thirty or more hummingbirds were feeding, like a busy airport, the feeders were constantly in the flight pattern.

We stood, a few feet away and watched, amazed, as they all came, three to five at a time, to guzzle some sugar water.

The Hulks

There is a breakwater constructed of old concrete ships up by the mill in Powell River, we crept down the dirt path, through a hole in the fence and took some pictures, of the ships yes, but the attraction (for the blog of course) were a whole bunch of sea lions.

An amazing day, the breakwater is truly amazing, and of course, an added bonus of some noisy neighbours...
