September Paddle

Another morning on the water and the weather appears to be changing, yet our Friday paddle was calm and relaxing as usual.

I took this photo from the “driver's seat” a trio of lovely young ladies who put up with the old bloke at the back on our trips around the sound.

There are a half dozen new chickens down at Marina house on the waterfront, here one interested party is checking out the macro function on our camera.

Little Soldier

Today was a big mood swing for all of us, little Bill went in for surgery, tooth cleaning and two teeth out, brutal stuff and here he is tonight, rambling around with a shaved leg (looks like he has a fashionable boot on) and generally bumping into stuff. Still has quite the appetite though, eating us out of Ham and Home.....

Eighteenth year.

Manic Monday

It has been a hot few days, today we walked to the shops, had a lovely lunch at Wheatberries on the way back and then decided, as it was so hot, to dig like mad dervishes for half an hour and put gravel around the newly painted fire hydrant (the man came a week or so ago).

Today on an extended walk down Chamberlin, we happened upon a Pileated woodpecker hopping from hydro pole to hydro pole.
