Canadian Geese
The Canadian Geese are hanging around down at the front, near the library, in addition we have a large flock of them up by the school, including what appears to be an albino or white goose, just one white one in a flock of about one hundred.

November Rain
It is normal to have a rainy month here on the West coast, or as the locals call it, the WET coast. November was a very good example and apparently, whoever it is who checks these things recorded 806 millimetres of rain.
Thats about 2.7 feet of rain.
It was no coincidence that our own personal mud hut here in the rain forest was leaking, the man told us two years ago that the shingles needed replacing, and it wasn't until the good wife was running around at two in the morning with buckets that it seemed to be a good idea to finally have it done.
In the interim, during the first week or so of November, we had a big tarp on the roof, something that is quite common amongst us locals.

Ospreys
While having lunch at the Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt, we noticed what we thought were two bald eagles fishing in Porpoise Bay. The flight patterns of the birds appeared strange at first and we noticed that there was a lot more underbelly white on the pair.
It became apparent, as soon as they started to hover and dive, that these enormous birds were something other than eagles and we have discovered that they are a pair of Ospreys. We went back the following week and there they were again.

Rock pools
Arriving from the other side of the creek we discovered a large number of rock pools, freshly filled with tidal life.
